Im sure they are. Most Troy people dont live IN Troy. But most people in the Troy/Dothan area are without power.

Sorry to hear that. I hope no damaged done to Troy University and especially no loss of life in Alabama. Terrible thing to happen especially for Christmas.

PIKE COUNTY, Alabama -- Pike County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service have confirmed that a possible tornado has damaged mobile homes in Brantley Mobile Home Park near Troy.

Initial reports said that residents were trapped in the damaged structures.


One resident was trapped, according to the Pike County EMA, but he had been rescued by 11:40 p.m. There were only minor injuries that did not require transport to a hospital.

Investigators are checking the path of the tornado and believe that it went from the southwest to northeast along the Conecuh River.

All info so far is as reported with minor injuries following entrapment. Although no major damage in North Troy reported at present.

Would say thank goodness not too many hurt, but to get hit by a tornado on Christmas is bad enough regardless.
