Just got back from the grocery store. On Christmas Eve day. Don't try this yourself! And don't anyone EVAH permit me to do that again!!!! I must have been temporarily insane.

Here's what I saw: Kids running laps around the aisles at manic speed, trying to work off some pre-Christmas tension. Helpless husbands wandering around aimlessly, not knowing where to find those last minute items that their wives need to finish the cooking and baking. One dad with three young kids, winding in and out of all the stopped grocery carts, trying to keep them busy after Mom probably kicked all of them out of the house. The line at the deli counter a mile long, while a couple of old ladies tried to decide on exactly the right salad for tomorrow, rattling off the names of who in the family wouldn't eat what. The checkout lanes backed up through the store, as shoppers tried to figure out the luckiest stocking stuffer Lottery ticket numbers. Another lane backed up because a customer was screaming "This coupon most certainly IS VALID!!!!" People coughing, sneezing, wheezing. People sighing. One was crying. It wasn't me, but I was close to that point by the time I got out of there.

And a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. I need a nap!

If it wasn't for coaching and my wife buying me stuff I'd have no wardrobe at all.

Made the mistake of stopping by Meijer here on the east side of the state to pick up 1 or 2 things and it was the same way. Worst decision of my life.

I was able to spend my usual last minute 700 bucks today at meijers and I must have been or of the crazy people cause I don't remember a thing. Just cashing out and making sure t get the receipt so my wee didn't see how much I spent after she said we were done... I am one of those people that way my kids to freak out when they see what is under the tree.
