RE: OSU to PBS for Spring Game
I wonder if Mike Brown would ever allow UC to do that...?
(Not that I would expect UC to even want to, just hypothetical)

RE: OSU to PBS for Spring Game
Gee I wonder what Mo and Lance will be talking about?
And of course there will be 65,000 people there and everyone will talk how it makes UC look bad that their practice game gets 65,000 and UC can't sell out real games, and so on and so on...

Doesn't it seem odd this comes out right after the stadium renovation plans are put out.

Nippert renovations and the announcement of TT as UC's coach...
I'm sure it is totally coincidental...(dripping sarcasm)
maybe the University of Columbus is just a tiny bit nervous about the commitment being made by THE University of Cincinnati and is trying to shore up fans in SW OH, lest they might find a different shiny object to capture their interest.

I believe this has been Ohio State's plan for months.

Yeah, I seem to remember Meyer saying something about it after he was first hired.

You do realize that the only reason they are using PBS is because they are doing a renovation project at the horseshoe, right?

tOSU could host their spring game at a number of other venues if the Horseshoe is under renovation.
Wonder what kind of deal Mike Brown is giving tOSU as compared to the deal he gives UC?

I thought that was the reason last year? Are they refurbishing it again this year?
They could use Cleveland Browns stadium, however they have that market sewn up. Its to create an in with the Cincy crowd.

Yes, but the timing of the announcement just seems weird. I realize this has been a possibility for a while.

This is old news. They have been talking about this for a long time and it has nothing to do with anything other than the shoe is be renovated. There is no one-upmanship here.
Take the foil off your head and have a great weekend and a Merry Christmas. Everything will be OK!

I'd really like to see the details of the deal for this to see how much O$U is paying to use it. If it is less than UC, then that is bull$hit. If anyone were to get a deal, it should be the local team, not the one from 100 miles away. Not getting into that anymore since we know Brown don't care.

If he was a smart businessman, knowing that PBS could be filled up for the Spring Game, he'd charge Ohio State out the a**hole to use it.

I believe Mike Brown's father (the late great Paul Brown) was a huge Ohio State fan, and I'd imagine Mike is as well.
Also, Paul Brown went to UC's biggest football rival, Miami OH... kinda makes ya wonder if Mike Brown really does have a bias against UC :muttering:

Hell Paul Brown won a national championship at OSU as the head coach.
