I agree the videos don't show many jumpers, but really think about Rubles' and JJ's jump shots, it wouldn't take much for Lawrence to have a better shot than them. Just looking at the videos he reminds of a bigger Lance Stephenson. Here's a video that has him shooting a few jumpers, looks pretty good to me.

Hmmm. Actually, he doesn't remind me of Lance at all. If he is 6'-9", and he can shoot the 3, the obvious comparison is Dermarr. But he looks wayyyy more athletic than Dermarr was.
What I noticed on those videos is that when he penetrates, he is very much under control with a good handle, and he is smooth around the basket.
I don't want to get my hopes up. But St. Johns is loaded with talent. And they haven't done much with it. UC's new style has to be enticing to recruits. And if Lawrence watched the Xavier and Wright State games, there was no shortage of athleticism, alley-oops, dunks, stickbacks, blocks..........this team is fun to watch, and occasionally frustrating. But they definitely have a fun style of play.
UC being #8 in the country and poised to be near the top of the Big East has to impress too. Along with coming off of two Sweet Sixteen appearances.
I mean, next year, you could rotate the guards in at PG and SG, and actually use JJ at center, and have Rubles and Lawrence at the other 2 spots. With Sanders, Thomas rotating in too. Almost too many options (you can never have too many options, I know).
If UC goes far in the NCAA Tournament, it wouldn't surprise me to see the kid choose UC.
