Weather for Detroit
Early but forecast has 7 inches of snow for Wed for Detroit according to accuweather....And reading weather.com, looks like a major winter storm could happen during christmas week, timing and track of Low are sill a ? mark...Man would that be something, may have to leave a night early if Wed. is going to be that bad...Lets hope it does not hit until Friday!

I know that when FAU went in 08 there was a lot of snow. I think they said something like 95% of the players had never seen snow before in thier lives. They had one afternoon off and did snowmen, snowball fights. They had a blast.

Raised in S. Florida my whole life and have only seen snow 3 times.

1st in Elementary school it ACTUALLY snowed in S. Florida (Flakes was it, nothing stuck).

2nd: When I was 25 on vacation in Missourri.

3rd: On my honeymoon in Lake Tahoe.

Couldnt even begin to tell you how to deal with the stuff on a day to day basis. If it gets to 60 degree's here I turn on the heat.

RE: Weather for Detroit
Detroit is right above a enormous salt deposit, that 7 inches of snow will go away between the snow plows and tons of salt they pour on the roads. However the Airport is a 20+ minute drive and people around those parts drive like crack addicted lunatics on the highway so be safe on your drive/ride to Ford Field. Be sure to stop and get a Coney Dog while in Detroit too.

Thanks for the tips, is I-75 maintened in Michigan on way up to Detroit from snow? We are staying at Greektown, so hopefully drive up and park will be all the driving I do in Detroit, the rest walking to game and around...I also found out at the LIttle Ceasars Bowl, Hungry Howies is served at Ford Field, that is ironic to say the least...

WKU fans, make sure and hit up the Ford Museum while you are there. U will not regret.

And Ford Field is the best facility I've ever seen a game.

Most people take I-94 into Detroit, and that last tidbit is rather interesting, Hungry Howies is much better than Little Ceasers though. I know nothing of I-75, I only drive on I-94 and I-96 when heading east.

It should be cleared of snow depending on how fast the snow is falling. Now getting through Cincy, Dayton on Toledo on I-75 might be a different story. If this storm does what the weather guys think its going to do. I've heard ice in Cincy and Snow all the way from North of Cincy to Mid Michigan.
