I think he , like a lot of UC fans is concerned about UC's current conference situation and only wants what he believes is best. Whether he is right or whether the university is right will be something that needs to be seen.

DeCourcy is a college hoops guy struggling to understand a world where his sport draws lower ratings and less money than even mid-major football.

One point that Whit made yesterday that is down the list of importance, but still counts for a lot; when the games are on campus not only does expose people to the campus but it creates a huge amount of revenue for local businesses. Keeping that money in Clifton is a major positive for the university.

When Whit mentioned that UC lost six figures last year while bringing 48K to PBS the conversation was over.

And by the looks of it, the rough number is over $500k:

Cliff Peale ‏@cliffpeale

UC lost more than $500K in 2 games at PBS last year, more than I thought. That's 500K reasons not to play all their football games there.

That figure should seal the deal on anyone still talking about games at PBS. Unless you know you're going to draw 50k plus, there's no reason in the world to have a game there. Of course, if you like seeing Mike Brown and the County make money off of your football team, maybe you feel differently.

Somehow I was able to land a photo of Whit Babcock negotiating with Mike Brown over the use of PBS
