I wish good fortune to all of us misfit toys. nBE folks included. This conference has been very good for Marshall. And that is because of the fine institutions that it's been involved with. Houston, UCF, Tulane, ECU, Memphis, SMU: I wish nothing but the best for your programs. And don't blame any school that's left. Raising your "profile" and going into a different league is nothing new. Having said that, I'm happy w/ the new arrivals that will reinvigorate the conference imho, they have infinite potential and will in the long run eclipse many that have left, as well as those that have stayed/been left behind(depending on your pov). W/ the BSU defection, the nBE is a less desirable place I think most would agree, but I hope the folks that joined aren't left out like many here have hoped. We all have our warts. We all have our pluses. And none of us are going to be invited to the "big ball", it's just not going to happen. Having said that, I wish all former/current/future CUSA teams the best of luck. None of our big brothers are looking out for us, and want nothing good to happen to any of us. Misfit toys, the lot of us. Here's to a good future for all of our programs. We could all use a good 2013..
