Large ad in Bristol paper this morning stating that WKPT Radio Network is "new home of the Arby's Classic" (a high school tourney played in Bristol after Christmas if you don't know). The Network is AM 1400 & FM 94.3 in Kingsport, AM 1490 & FM 97.9 in Bristol and AM 1590 & FM 97.7 in JC. Would this be a better home for ETSU sports? Certainly these FMs ought to be beter for anything broadcast in the evening. Also, I can't always get the WXSM 640 stream on the internet.

Yes they do. I'm pretty sure the UNC game was on WKPT radio.

Funny too, because I heard a promo as recently as the Ole Miss game where WXSM touted themselves as the home of the Arby's Classic.

Both of them have done the Arbys in the past......

The Arby's is such a big deal for the area, good for them.
The world will miss the Overbay-isms. Honestly I'm suprised Jay hasn't asked Paul to join the broadcast team, along with Helman that would make one heck of a team!

That sounds as though both will cover it then.
Even better, that means fans will be treated to Boston Celtics talk and perhaps calls from "Anti-Gamecock" and "Pizzahead" between games. SCORE!
