That's absolutely awesome for him. Glad he gets his fair shot, far too many athletes don't.

RE: Kay gets a 6th year
While I am happy for Kay, but I don't think this has the significance as it would have if BJ stayed. It will be a brand new offense and everyone will be starting over and learning from scratch. Kay may be the best man for the job. 6th year Seniors usually are. His experience and leadership will be a huge factor. But Tubervillle recruited Coney to go to Tech. He obviously likes what he seen. He might want to turn the reigns over to him right away. I wouldn't be totally shocked if it were an open competition and Kay were unseated. But you never know, they might not have the heart to do that to the kid after all he has been through.

I think it will have significance, in spite of Lyle's defection. He has the offseason, spring, higher ground, and the fall. The timing couldn't
be better.
Why in the hell second guess it? Kay gets to play,,and that's what
should be celebrated.

Congrats to Kay. He'll have the Belk bowl as well. Needs to close the season with a bang so that he can put some distance between him and the rest of the field. He's taken full advantage of the opportunity presented to him by Lyle (save for the Rutgers game, which, in my older age, i will mostly blame on Lyle's incompetence), time for him to maximize the opportunity the NCAA has presented him.

Good news. Kay has really played well. Can't believe he didn't start day 1 but some coached fall in love
with athletes as opposed to guys who can play the position. He will probably walk out of UC with an MBA
or something like that.

This is excellent news and gives Brendon an excellent opportunity to complete a fine college career. It also likely puts an end to the Munchie Legeau QB experiment. Munchie either becomes a wide receiver or he rides the pine as the 2nd or 3rd or 4th stringer. Your choice, Munch.

RE: Kay gets a 6th year
Move Munchie to WR/Wildcat QB for special trick plays. Kay competes with the youngster for the QB spot next year. Worst case is that he is our starter because the young kids are not ready or that he gets beat out and we have six year season ready if we need him.
