The new C-USA is going to be fine.
We're loading up with universities that want to prove themselves in Division 1. They are hungry, and will improve. We also have a bunch of pissed-off universities that feel they shouldn't have been overlooked, or feel that they were abandoned when everyone should have stuck together. They will play with big chips on their shoulders, and will improve.

Somebody might even put it on television.

C-USA is far, far from finished. I wish the new conference would put a GOR in place, and then focus on growing and improving. It would be amazing to have a conference focused on the game, rather than moving to other leagues.

We will overcome. And we will be stealing the "BCS" bowl spot more often than not. Try to stop us.

As long as the six CUSA remnants stay put here I agree with you.

If ODU, UTEP, USM, Tulsa, Charlotte, and UTSA, anchor the attendance, market, and on-field performance (bball or fball), we should be ok.

it will take time, but ok.

RE: The new C-USA is going to be fine.
I agree, and we are soon to officially welcome La. Tech, UTSA, North Texas, and FIU into the fold as on the field partners in 2013. Our future is very bright. Can't wait for everyone to join up!

Let's stop focusing on the Big East. In all likelihood thy are going to be around for years to come. What does that really mean to any Go5 member?

I said in another thread that the on-field mission of every C-USA member is to shut up and put up. It will be an amazingly interesting sub-plot for C-USA, the MW, the MAC and the SBC to put a better product on the field and keep the BE from running away from the rest of us. As it stands, with Boise in the BE stable, they have the top G5 conference...for the moment, and without playing one down of football.

Anyone who thinks differently is smoking something. But things change, we all have 85 scholarships and equal access to available talent, and the BE money difference is likely not going to be as big as we all once thought. So, BE, enjoy your perch at the top. But you're going to keep it ONLY by performing and it's up to the rest of us to stop you. Possible? Ask Northern Illinois.

If the MAC can do it, C-USA should be able to as well.

MTSU has good upside on football and bball. But all you newbies need to get your game up on baseball. It is important around here.

Charlotte wasn't very good last year, but our winning percentage over the last decade was top 10 in the nation prior to last year (not sure about after last year).

That was playing in the weak ass A10 though, so it may not mean much.

We've been to the NCAA's in baseball 9 times in the past 25 years. Not where we'd like it to be, but I'm sure it's better than alot of schools around here. We've been an integral part of making Sun Belt baseball a top 10 conference year in year out.

CUSA baseball, while not talked about as much, is definitely one of the most exciting things about making the move.

Can't wait to host you guys at Reese Smith Field:

Even having to think about the MAC is a horrible thing. There was and should still be considerable distance between us and the MAC.

Yes, that was terrible what happened to DeAndre Brown's ankle.

I'm not convinced like their fans are that the school presidents at UTEP & Tulsa are even looking at MWC. That's a lot of money to spend on a lateral move with a bad tv contract

I know we're getting off topic, but yeah, that turf was ridiculous that night.

DeAndre's Disgusting Leg Injury was actually a different New Orleans Bowl... that was my attempt at humor. But yeah, that Dome turf is apparently not the greatest.
