RE: Field Hockey Coaching Hire
Sounds like a great hire. Assistant at BC and Maryland. Coaching staff of USA FH for years. And he had to turn around the program at Lafayette. He will be able to continue to bring big names here to play.

Great job WS.

RE: Field Hockey Coaching Hire
Reading the press release maybe we convinced Anders to stay one more year in order to help recruit a new coach? Sounds possible.

Quote:We had the luxury of following a number of head coaches this past fall as we knew we would be in a search to replace Beth Anders at the conclusion of the season," says Dr. Selig. "We were fortunate to attract such strong interest in our women's field hockey vacancy.

Either way I like this hire.

Looking at his resume...impressive. Highest coaching qualification possible, played for and coached National teams...and another "young" hire by Selig. Hopefully this is good news for years to come. We'll have to see how recruiting goes, as I know many chose Old Dominion because of Beth Anders. She was a legend. We'll see if our new coach and new conference is attractive to recruits.
