RE: What Conf USA schools would be interested in joining the NBE if there was
I dont think so. Originally the NBE was talking about more money than the ACC. Then it was well we will still have a great bowl and BCS access. After that it was ND is still with us. Then it was well the Catholic schools would never leave because they recognize the importance of being with an elite football league (yep they sure did). Now its any CUSA or MWC would die to play in our league. Next week its going to be with our assistance the Sunbelt will be an elite level conference.

When they keep moving the goal posts, it's not surprising so many BE'ers seem to be so confident, cause they never see that the situation keeps getting worse.

6 teams will split exit fees from 6 exiting teams. That's, what, $500,000 each? And actually, Tulane and ECU might share in some of the Memphis/Houston/SMU/UCF departure fees, so it's less.
Any further payments just offsets TV diminution so it's a wash. (which I doubt happens anyway - C-USA's never taken a substantial TV hit with all of the exits).

How come the BE is called NBE but CUSA is not called NCUSA? Have both conferences not changed in the last 12 months?
Well there were secret meetings going on the call it the North Carolina-USA conference but then ECU left and that went out the window.
