Eh...looking like one of those days.

3 points by the starters in the first half for the Bobcats. 01-wingedeagle

EMU got blown out on a barrage of treys by UIC, esp. Danny Barnes.

EMU's PG play continues to be mediocre at best, but 'poor' is a better explanation.

Terrible loss to a team without a prior D1 win. Christian's seat just got extremely hot. He can't inspire a Sweet 16 team to throttle an opponent that is downright PATHETIC.

i agree that it was a terrible loss, no real explanation for it. we just plain sucked today, i think.

but i would disagree about the coach's seat getting hot already. it was only his 10th game! hopefully he and the team will bounce back from this before it does become hot.

Much too early to be talking hot seat. I like JC, but how much is he making and for how long? He's obviously going to be there for a while. IIRC correctly, it seemed like a big contract to bring in a guy who has not had post-season success anywhere. The main rap on him at KSU was that he would wear teams out during the season, and they would be burned out/exhausted at the end of the season.

Winthrop was ranked 345 (of 347) in the RPI and lost pretty handily to teams that we had throttled. Don't try to sugarcoat the worst loss in Ohio Bobcat history.

I think we can forget about any wasted discussions on multiple bids for this league.

The confrence was up to 13th in the rpi's. Yesterday would have helped if we could have gotten a couple of quality road wins. Instead we got a horrible home lose by our pre season pick.

This is early for JC. At KSU, his teams collapsed in March, not December.

CMU beats Pepperdine on the road! Nice win for the Chips! Ernie Z would have got beat by 20 last year.

Actually, EZ's team beat them by 10 last year.

03-idea A-ha! So the narrative shifts from being better than last year to not being as good as last year? It's so hard to keep the prevailing stories straight, especially after the preseason Akron and Ohio narratives got destroyed.

Nice 0-for-4 last night.

Will the pre-conference nightmare ever end? I'd be hard pressed to find a more dismal MAC season with such very few highlights. There is just not much evidence that there is much quality in the conference this year. The bad is bad and the good is not measurably better. And we have begun few seasons with higher expectations than this season. Very disappointing. Somebody make it stop!
