Rutgers
Rutgers comes into Sunday's matchup with UAB at 6-2. They are 3-1 at home, after surprisingly losing their home opener to St. Peter's 56-52. Their best win to date is a 58-52 victory at Princeton.

Rutgers has scored in the 80's four times, the 60's two times, and the 50's twice.

Pomeroy has Rutgers finishing 15-14 this season and 7-11 in the Big East. Pomeroy has Rutgers winning this game 76-67, with a 78% probability of victory.

The star for Rutgers so far has been Sophomore guard Eli Carter (6-2 195). However, he is currently making less than 30% of his 3-point attempts.

They have two 6-9 players (Kadeem Jack and Wally Judge) and one guy 6-8 (Austin Johnson). All three get plenty of playing time.

Their best 3-point shooter is Myles Mack (5-9 170).

Rutgers consistently plays at least 9 players each game.

RE: Rutgers
I was curious as to whether Tyree Graham still played for them. For those who don't remember, Graham was recruited to UAB by Davis three years ago and very enthusiastic about beings Blazer, proclaiming himself a Blazer on Twitter.

Unfortunately, although he seemed a hard worker, he didn't qualify academically and ended up at Rutgers.

An update: the sad news is he spent two years at Rutgers, but was injured both years, tearing his ACL one year.
The good news is that this guy who did not qualify at UAB has graduated from college, and is in graduate school and playing basketball at UNC-Wilmington this year.

RE: Rutgers
Is this game on tv? I thought I saw earlier in the week that it was on ESPN3, but now it's not there.

RE: Rutgers
If it isn't a TV game, why is it being played so early?

Unless Rutgers fans would not come to a college basketball game if it was up against the NFL, I'm guessing.

Well give it to KenPom for getting the margin of victory right. What is UAB's predicted record? 15-15 (in D1?)

Look for Tyler's twitter privileges to be suspended, at the least. Gone at worst.

Yep. I don't see how that can lead to more playing time.

15-16, or 14-16 if you throw out the Harris Young game.

RE: Rutgers
Who knew RU would go 8 minutes without missing a shot and they were not layups? After the carnage we out played them but the damage was done in the first really 10 minutes of the game. These slow starts are killing us. (Yes I'm Capt Obvious this morning)

Not sure what to make of Tyler. I find it mind boggling that you play Scotty (Bless his heart) and JT not get any PT. Is it grades? Discipline? Simply not doing what he is asked?

RE: Rutgers
I didn't watch the first part of the game, but at times I think Haase gets into his mad dog mode.

When you are getting hammered, sometimes you throw your hands up in the air & say what the heck?

In those times, you put players in the game that normally might not play at those times.
