...new basketball conference...
...ok, is there ANY way we can get into the new 'mega-basketball' conference - which seems to be a done deal by this afternoon - yet, still keep football in a decent conference?

for bball, it would be awesome to be in the new league, but of course, 'mixing' conferences among your sports is not a good thing, usually...

just wondering, cause it looks like lots of change is a-comin, y'all...

...actually, if the CUSA-MWC 'alliance' resurfaces, that would be a nice 'boost' for the bball side...not sure how the schedules would be made up, tho...

Pretty much the same as now. Maybe you would have two or three cross division games. It's actually pretty simple.

I have come to the conclusion that speculating on conference realignment is only marginally more productive than speculating on weather more than a week out. Not since the Atlanta Braves were in the Western Division has a more bizarre case of sport related geographic madness been created than San Diego and Boise in the Big East...Big East of Tokyo? The best aspect of CUSA is at least our name makes sense...until we add Simon Fraser University or Tokyo U.
