RE: Heisman Trophy officially a joke
I just want them to call it an offensive player award since its clear no true defensive player has any chance of receiving it. If Te'o with 7 picks, Tyrann Mathieu with pick 6's, INT and punt returns or Suh who single handedly almost won the B12 championship game, what does a defensive player have to do to actually win it?

I know it seems unfair, but I see it this way...
Johnny M was a part of every single offensive play. Can any defender be a part of every defensive play? It's impossible to have the same total impact on the entire game as someone like the QB.

Jordan Lynch
#6 QB Junior Northern Illinois Huskies
HometownCHICAGO, IL
Height6-0
Weight216 lbs.
2012 Season
PASSING:
YDS TD INT
2962 24 5
RUSHING:
ATT YDS TD
271 1771 19
TOTAL OFFENSE
YDS TD
4733 43
Only player in NCAA History to record over 400 yards passing and 150 yards rushing in a single game. That is since 1865 my friends. Also, if it was so easy to do playing in the MAC, why doesn't this happen ALL THE TIME?
Most 100 yard rushing games by a QB in a season, 12.
Has more 150 yard passing and 150 rushing games in 2012, than all of the other Heisman QB candidates in 2012 combined!
Also lead his confernce in punting. 63.0 yards. Did Johnny Boy do that?
Suck it Johnny Football. Jordan Lynch is a GROWN MAN!

MAC is JV level FB, not hard to put up video game numbers against. But maybe you guys can go over to the corner and cry with the UH folks who are also lamenting that their 6th year QB who smoked a ton of unranked CUSA defenses didn't get an invite either.

Did he do all this in the SEC? Against Alabama?

RE: Heisman Trophy officially a joke
The good news is that everybody will finally get to watch Jordan Lynch in the Orange Bowl against Florida State which has one of the best 5 defenses in the nation.
Lynch will play with a depleted coaching staff, as Doeren got the NC State job.
Based on what I've seen of Lynch, the Aggies don't miss a beat if Lynch was their starter this year.

The Aggies were not very good last year, even with Tanneyhill. A&M is the CFB surprise of the year. Manziel is just a part of that. Talk to me about MAC/C-USA QBs and the Heismann after NIU meets FSU.

C-USA vs. SEC. I hate the SEC and the arrogance that goes along with it, but there is a difference between putting up good numbers in the SEC vs. C-USA. You could also use your argument for Jordan Lynch of NIU this year.
Except that Lynch played a Big 10 team a Big 12 team and 2 MAC teams that beat previously unbeaten BE teams. In other words a much stronger schedule than CUSA plays

I guess you really mean is... NO, not against the SEC schedule including the #1 team. We got it. Dam we really need to just end this thread.

NIU retains it's OC who was elevated to HC.

The Aggies were plenty good last year. They had the talent to jump out to big leads like this year:
20-3 on Oklahoma St
28-14 on Arkansas
28-14 on Missouri
31-21 on Kansas St
16-7 on Texas
They just couldn't finish. Obviously, that was coaching.

Nope...that just looks like 0-5 to me. Johnny M fixed that... You all have to just please stop this nonsense of comparing schools like Houston and NIU to an SEC, Big XII, or B1G school. Its embarrassing...

RE: Heisman Trophy officially a joke
LOLz
Reading is fundamental. Perhaps you should master that first before engaging in written argument.
Because all I have said is:
1) Manziel was fortunate that the Heisman favorites faded from contention and he didn't have much competition
2) Jordan Lynch is a helluva QB who I can't wait to see play against Florida State's defense, and
3) The Aggies would not have missed a beat if Lynch was behind center this year in College Station.
At most, I am guilty of comparing Lynch to Manziel. Not NIU to a Big 12 or B1G school. And you brought up Houston in this thread, not me. You either have me confused with someone else, or you are just flat making stuff up as you go along.
Finally, I did respond to your contention that A&M wasn't very good last year. I showed, with supporting evidence, that they were very talented and underachieved in the W-L record due to coaching. That's not comparing Houston or NIU to a SEC school either. But you know that, don't you?
