That's to be expected.. I figure the days of someone coming in and staying as long as Bower did are long gone.

I'm anxious to see what CJ will do for you next year.. I know this was his first year, I'm hoping to see Tulane rattle some skulls next year.

A USM "insider" on the Scout site said the transfer to Ole Miss was a done deal

Yep... But the question remains what happens with his contract with the Blue Jays? (not even sure he can go there now due to the charge against him.)

Does that mean he's going to Ole Piss for football or baseball?

He will never be eligible to play college baseball.

Ever.

He's a PROFESSIONAL baseball player, therefore he is ineligible to play AMATEUR baseball

Thought he was pro only if he signed contract or played in minors.

He signed a contract, got paid several hundred thousand (thus professional) and has already spent a month practicing with their Minor League team.

I still think a couple of Coach M's comments were aimed specifically at Alford (The ones about showing class on the field and OFF).

I think it was a general statement, seeing as how you have arrests/dismissals at every program.

It was an OUTSTANDING presser! He was hilarious and honest. Clearly doesn't think much of Johnson and his staff. Didn't think the players were to blame, etc. Said "we get paid to fix those issues when they come up (alluding to EJ saying they were trying everything and other such hogwash), and we get paid a lot of money to do it."

This. I loved every second of it. I loved the emphasis he put on just about everything. I love that he took the time to meet with the players before the press conference.

I think this is going to be very good for us.

I didn't get to watch it and can't find the video, but the clips I heard it sounds like he's excited to be here and is ready to win.
