Ohio and Eastern have the best records as of today. Bobcats are 7-2 and Eagles are 6-2. And without having looked at the entire conference schedule to date, I think Eastern has the best out-of-conference win so far this season.

Minnesota improved to 11-1 with a 70-57 win over North Dakota State on Tuesday.

Golden Gophers are 13th in the AP poll, 16th in the coaches poll.

Seth Davis of Sports Illustrated says in the "Other Hoop Thoughts" section of his column that BracketBusters is ending after this season. It's mentioned on page 2 of the column.

Also in his column is an interesting (at least I thought it was interesting) "Block or Charge" video quiz. FWIW, I got 7 of 10 right. You can probably top that. But I think the quiz shows why this is such a tough call.

Cleveland State beat Notre Dame College of Ohio (a Division II school) 77-66. UMass beat Ohio 85-76. Wright State beat Miami 67-59. In overtime, Rice defeated Chicago State 63-60. UNLV over Northern Iowa 73-59. St. Louis over Eastern Illinois 72-45. Samford beat Tennessee-Martin 75-62. Seattle over Northern Illinois 75-48.

Thursday - St. Francis of Pennsylvania at Kent State. Texas State-San Marcos at Central Michigan. Eastern Michigan at Michigan.

Kent crushes St. Francis of Pa. 77-48. St. Francis drops to 0-10.
