Since this Rose Bowl probably has the greatest rooting interest among east Tennesseans since about 1940, I was wondering what you thought of Sullivan South's Curt Phillips' performance today for Wisconsin.

Writing this with 10:45 left. Don't think he's going to parlay this performance into an NFL career, but he has overcome a slow start and done some nice things scrambling, though I'm less than impressed, usually, with a quarterback scrambling (speaks of broken plays and weakness- one 20-yard scramble can easily be a 10-yard sack).

I'm looking forward to see if he can put together a 2-minute drive for the victory.

Unfortunately, he couldn't, and he will now always be remembered as the guy who cost Barry Alvarez $50,000.
