GSU vs ODU
The blueprint for what ETSU needs to do is on ESPN right now. The atmosphere is incredible.

RE: GSU vs ODU
ODU has a waiting list for season tickets. Funny thing is, their faculty was against in the beginning, tunes have changed drastically with enrollment increases, interest in the university, etc...

RE: GSU vs ODU
Tidewater population around 1.6 million, Tri-Cities around half a million. The pride in ODU is on display, place is packed. They are pushing the right buttons to generate enthusiasm, with winning, of course, being the big button. ODU is a winner so far, can they keep it up in FBS? If ETSU came out of the starting gate like ODU has, would the Tri Cities show up like this?

And the winner, in an outstanding football game to watch, has a smaller annual athletic budget than ETSU. Of course ETSU can't afford football. As the JC Press points out every time it gets a chance, "football was losing $1 million a year". But, how many all-sports trophies would equal just that one day Ga Southern had on national ESPN?

There is no way the minor sports could ever bring that type of publicity to a school. What GA Southern got yesterday is unbuyable for a mid-major and there is no way to calculate financially what they garnered from the game. The fact they are doing it all for the same or less money than ETSU justs gives reason for the Committee for 125 to act as quickly as possible.
