Dayton
Duquense
Fordham
George Washington
UMass
Rhode Island
Richmond
St. Bonaventure
Saint Louis
Xavier
VCU
Gonzaga
St. Mary's

Siena
Pepperdine
Loyola Marymount
Loyola (Maryland)
Davidson
Sacred Heart
I'd take those 7 add St. Louis, Xavier, Richmond, Butler, Drake and Creighton plus one of Davidson, Loyola (MD) or Sacred Heart. You're in a nearly contiguous footprint of NE, MO, IA, WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, DC, VA, NJ, NY, RI. (And one of MD, NC or CT.)
From the MVC, Bradley has the best college BB history (national runner-up twice) ... much better than Drake.

I would hope that DePaul and Marquette would go back to some mid-western mid-major conference where they belong. If football won't follow geographic boundaries and regional rivalries then perhaps basketball will. But, as we know that's all hokum, hogwash and wishful thinking.
Also, in my opinion, if they split they won't have the moxie to "bring in anyone". They would have to join some other league.
You mean MU with 25+ NCAAs, 3 final fours, a national championship and top 15 in attendance is a mid-major? Tough crowd

They should add Butler, Xavier, Dayton, St. Joes and Richmond. That creates a very good 12 team league.
