Interesting that in the article, the CofC people seem to have been reassured that a southern division will be created in the CAA, with the addition of new teams. I wonder if that puts ETSU in the mix.

With a football team guaranteed, you're damn right it does. It also puts a few others out there that maybe aren't in the footprint of the CAA.

If they go to twelve for basketball, the south could be:
Charleston
Mason
Madison
W&M
Wilmington
ETSU

Hopefully the possibility of adding football makes ETSU more attractive, and able to get in a league sooner. That may also force Noland to add football sooner than later.

Noland is already talking about the ASun exit fee.

I wonder if he's already had discussions with leagues that promised us a spot if we added football?!

Noland has spoken about being familiar with the CAA before. I feel that is the conference that he would like for us to be in.

A new conference....this kind of talk is getting me excited. Be ready ETSU people to pitch in and help ETSU achieve. This kind of thing is going to take more work than getting the med and pharmacy schools! Thank you Dr. Noland for making things happen!

Thank you. I've followed this board for a while since last Spring/Summer(2011) while looking for news on ETSU getting football back,or just a random search.(I don't remember.)
