Explanations

San Marcos is the crossroads for several major railways in TX. The tracks run through campus. They go past the RF wall of the baseball field and along the NEZ of the football stadium. Traditionally, TXST fans do the "blow the whistle" hand pump when a train goes by during a game.

The football field is named "Jim Wacker Field" @ Bobcat Stadium, after the only coach to take TXST to National Titles in football

Next 2 self explanatory

TXST alums refer to San Marcos as San Marvellous

What our mascot lacks in cutes in more than made up for in originality and personality. lol

In the dust? I'd rather stand with 8k bearkats to watch a winning program in the FCS than struggle in the WAC of all conferences. You're just happy you got to replace that last game in the season against the Kats with a pushover like NMS.

Anyway, I came to lurk the SBC board to check out the latest realignments. Couldn't pass up an opportunity to mess with the bobcats since we don't get to that much anymore.

Pulling for y'all in the SB, too. I have lots of friends over in San Marcos, and SWT was one of my top 3 schools when applying. Give em hell in 2013.

None of those jump out at me but Rail Yard and Cats Lair are the best. Wish I could think of a better one.
