The past few days have been a positive swing in the evolution of UC athletics. Darryl Parks likes to play the clip from the movie "Network" where it isfamously said "I am mad as hell, and I am not gonna take this anymore".

I think finally.... after years of being silenced, UC fans have had enough with the media in this town as it pertains to UC athletics.

I called Broo's show on Sat. Never put me on. UC supporters call - the producers and on air talent (using that term loosely) do not want to talk UC.

The feeling I have been receiving is UC fans are tired and fed up. Seems to be the one thing galvanizing this fanbase - hatred of the p*ss poor Cincy media.

Was driving south into Milwaukee tonight from a clients place. 700 WLW can be picked up at night even up there which is nice. Turned it on and heard Lance tonight.

It was like I never left Cincinnati. Same Lance tactics of irritating UC fans, calling out our fanbase. Gets old. He never changes.

It was the only reason I was glad that Butler lost those championship games. If they had won, you would have never heard the end of it. I am sure you don't hear the end of their semifinal run.

I did root for Butler in those games, but still Lance is intolerable.

I am 47 and live two hours north of Cincinnati. I grew up in a house where the radio dials never left WLW because my mother was a die hard Reds fans.

We still have several radios tuned to WLW in the house. My wife likes to listen to Jim Scott in the morning and we listen to Bill Cunningham's national show on Sunday nights.

I quit listening to Sports Talk during the Andy Furman years. I stopped listening to the 9am-12am slot when Mike McConnell left. Gave up on the 3pm - 6pm slot when Tracy Jones took over. Quit on Bill Cunningham after the Xavier fiasco last year.

Not much left. If Jim Scott retires we are about done with the station altogether.

Why not pool some money together and call out the cincinnati media on billboards and local advertising?

Wonder if ucats would give priority points for the money spent.

...and go on to note no mention of Butch Jones and saying that's not a good sign.

They follow up that with saying how horribly the UC people handled the Belk Bowl press conference yesterday .

Totally agree. No nore real professionals on that station anymore.
700 backfills with whoever is on the the current Clear Channel payroll.
Sloan is no McConnell, Lance is no Collingsworth or Trumphy. Cunningham has been a clown for years.
