Big game tomorrow night at the Glass House. Should be a rockin' atmosphere. What should we expect from the Blazers? We're an 11 point favorite. Did you guys lose a few key pieces of your team from last year? We're coming off a tough OT loss on the road at Akron.

As a side note, they'll be honoring our bowl snubbed football team at halftime. As if this game needed any extra incentive to watch and get into, I'm sure our fans will be that much more pissed off and loud.

Should be a great game.

I'm excited about that one. Wish I could be there. Just got my Vandy tickets in the mail today though, got center court seats at Bridgestone... Go Blue!

RE: UAB @ MT
We have a lot of new faces on our team. We play a totally different style than a year ago. Our new coach is working to implement a style similar to UNC.

So far, we've had trouble with turnovers and going through some stretches with poor shooting. But UAB was hanging right there with #13 Creighton and #14 North Carolina into the 2nd half before those teams pulled away.

I expect we could have some trouble on the road, but I think at some point before the year is over, UAB is going to click and be very tough to beat.

We graduated a senior class of three with an average height of 7-0. One did not play (transfer issues), one played very little (many suspect he was 40+ years old) and CUSA defensive POY Cameron Moore. We lost the rest of our inside players to transfer when Mike Davis was fired.

The win over MTSU may have been our best effort last year.

We have all the pieces to be pretty good, but have not put them together yet.

RE: UAB @ MT
you guys probably would be welcome to travel over to the UAB board on here (blazertalk.com) and strike up a conversation.

What everyone said above me is absolutely correct. Keep in mind UNC shot like 75% in the second half of that game to beat us. Which could either be our defense/depth issues or their offense and probably a combination of both.

It's going to take another year at least to recover from mike davis. instead of building a program he would throw together a team each August of jucos and fifth year transfers. I have a feeling UAB-MTSU will develope into a good series once we get our program going

Looking forward to it. If WKU doesn't end up coming along with us, you'll be our closest geographic conference rival by a fair margin...and for me, as long as I'm in Atlanta, it's a shorter trip to Birmingham than it is to Murfreesboro.

I've heard folks say that we played badly in our loss at UAB last season, but I went to the game, and UAB looked good. I don't think we played terribly. The lanky WKU transfer hit everything that he threw up.

The student crowd at UAB really seemed to get into the game.

He was like 6-6 from 3 last game at UNC. Hopefully that keeps up tonight.

43-29 lead for MT at halftime. UAB has turned it over way too much. 14 points is the biggest of the game. Cintron hit a 3 as time wound down to give MT the advantage.

I guess not. I figured college students would come out in droves to show off their tacky sweaters.

My comments are not about Haase's coaching ability. It's about his need to step up whatever he is doing to motivate these guys. Effort has nothing to do with the HC or how many games have been coached. It has to do with our guys giving effort worthy of a Division I scholarship spot.
