My take on Charlie's interview.
Just My opinion, but I felt that Charlie wanted to talk Sugar Bowl and the local media having been through the Rumor mill before wanted a straight answer. Well that's understandable, however it became a major distraction to Him. How many times can You say You have a job, and You like it here ? I think when cornered ,and asked several different ways "if He will be the Coach next year" that He just finally snapped and said "I'll answer that at the appropriate time !" That's kind of what Bobby Knight used to do when the questions were getting out of line.
Other than the "Fanbase slam" compared to BGN, I thought He held it together. I believe He will be our Coach into the ACC. He's Just Toying with the Media with His Defense by not answering what he thought was harassing questions from them.
I believe that when the ACC schedule happens with Bigger name programs coming in You will see the Stadium fill before the start time. those 12 pm starts sucked. as did Thanksgiving holiday game and freezing rain games.
.
I give Charlie Strong the benefit of the Doubt. He will be here.
If not Re-Welcome Bobby Petrino !04-cheers

Well Tennessee has offered CS the HC position there and now is in contract renegotiations with Louisville as of 12:40 today according to ESPN.

RE: My take on Charlie's interview.
I heard a rumor on the Pitt board yesterday that Strong was headed to UT. I didn't post it in this thread figuring you had already seen it somewhere else and rebuffed it.

UT is a good job. Louisville is too but that's what schools on our level have to compete with. Your coach does a good job and he's out the door. I thought Chryst would stay a while and all of a sudden the one job he might leave for has come up. I trust the man and believe his statement but who in their right mind wouldn't want to go home to a job in Madison?

Crazy world. I don't think our luck will change much in the ACC either. Maybe yours will.

Howard Schnellenberger left for Oklahoma, Bobby Petrino left for NFL Atlanta Falcons, John L Smith left for Michigan St . Could have been Golden moments for those Whom built this Program into nationally ranked teams during Their stay here. Same with Asst coach to Denny Crum, Wade Houston left for Tennessee. All were on hot seat at next siop and didn't last long. Grass isn't always greener on the other side

RE: My take on Charlie's interview.
I agreed with all of the fan criticisms Charlie mentioned in that press conference. He probably shouldn't have compared us to the BBN fans, but that might have been the most effective way to bring the point home. He wants an SEC culture at Louisville and I agree that's what Louisville should be aspiring to. It's also important to note that he was goaded into those comments otherwise he would not have said them.

The truth hurts...more importantly he got his point across and after todays presser all is forgiven...for those that don't know he didn't apologize for his BBN remark and really he didn't have to.
