sort of a unique game, Education Day event, over 7500 elementary students on campus for various activities including the game.

Awesome!

Then again, I can only imagine what the headache for the teachers of those 7,500 elementary students in an enclosed arena was like.

Thanks. Our new coach has definitely shown some signs of turning this program back around...it's about time. Sadly with MT leaving, we won't get to see how well she does against the best in the SBC. She does have us at 5-1 and 3-0 start the season. I see signs of folks waking up from their long slumber about WKU Women's basketball. We're still young and small though so I doubt MT has much to worry about this year.

I'm sure it was work but it was great for the kids. My wife is one of the teachers but she was bought in more than most. The Director's idea was to expose kids to a college campus early in life many of which may never be exposed to it again. There were multiple events, tours etc. There are just so many kids even in our college town that never get to set foot on a campus. She is hoping seeing it all inspires kids to work hard. I like the idea though I am not sure how effective it will be.
Although with all the new buildings campus is pretty impressive these days.

My boys were THRILLED to be able to go to the game rather than sit in school all day 04-rock

Good lord it was loud. The 2nd largest MT women's crowd in history... nice! Hopefully some of 'em will bring their families to some games this year. Should see a spark from this - whether it's gonna be measurable is still to be seen I guess.

Well that probably wasn't the response they were looking for but your kids probably weren't the ones they were trying to expose.
