UL, I know you guys are going to crush it. ULM/WKU, what do you guys anticipate your ticket sales looking like?

Not sure on WKU. I'm hoping several thousand. I heard after 1 day we already have 6 busses full for the ticket package (ticket, bus ride, and hotel).

ULM better kill it or they won't be in another bowl game ever again without a conference championship.

They said in the BG Daily news that GM (Detroit connection) was going to help us promote ticket sales. GO TOPS. [Image: emotred.gif]

UL will sell all the bowl will give us. Then our fans will buy another 20K + through the bowl.

I think it will be below last years numbers!

I doubt it. ECU is a lot closer than SDSU. I think it'll be more than last year.

Maybe for ASU, but not for the Cajuns. 17,000 tickets reserved as of today with three weeks before the game.

I think ULM will have at least 20,000. The tickets went on sale at 1:00 Sunday and at 10:30am there was a line wrapped around the stadium. Now if the La Tech Fighting Cowards had played us there would have been 60,000 there.

We will be higher than last season. 10 hr drive Hurts plus not everyone is off that Monday after the game. With the game starting at 8 CT. It's a huge factor. We should still hit 15k

RE: Bowl Game Ticket Sales
It seems that WKU with it's few buses of fans will be supplemented by UL and ASU fans as there is now a socialist agreement in the Sun Belt that splits virtually every dollar among all bowl participants.

ULM, ie Hoax fans will be buying their tickets though the Indy Bowl instead of the Hoax Athletic department because the Indy saves the better seats for the local sponsors. Again because they prefer to see the game instead of making sure their school is economically responsible the ULMoaners will be perfectly happy getting subsidies.

Looks like all WKU can hope to sell is 2500-3k which I am sure would put us on par with MTSU when they went to Detroit a few seasons back and probaly much more than F-U's sold...Actual attend,. due to bad weather hopefully we have 2k loud fans there....BG is full of bandwagon/UK fans....So we still have some work to do to build up our fanbase..But gaurentee the Petrino hire will bring some causual fans out to WKU until Nov. hits, haha...

Just get ready for some kidding about motorcycles, blondes etc. Really do think it is a good hire in a football sense but would like to see a mea culpa here from the coach BEFORE starting with you guys. our nation is forgiving......but repeated bad behavior, is never a plus.

Now now I think we should be gracious to our brothers at Tech. They are LaTech and despite their error this year I am sure they will learn from it and probably try to schedule a home and home series with ULM soon. 03-lmfao
