Yeah, it was posted on the scout site. First, I had to change my underwear from all the excitement. Then after reading some more posts it seems that this was a rouse to get everyone all riled up.

I hope it's true but highly doubt it with Pederson as the AD.

Personally, I think its a bunch of BS. Times like this is when I'm totally on the Fire Steve Bandwagon.

I know, for a moment when I actually thought it was true I was thinking to myself, "wow way to get people excited for an otherwise boring third straight bowl game, Steve Pederson really stepped outside the box and is gonna get people excited for this?"

The I realized I said Steve Pederson and then everything come to focus that it obviously isn't true.

One thing you need to remember though Joe... it isn't just a Steve Pederson issue. Nordy is adamantly against script and old colors as well.

I just don't understand how these *************** are so against tradition. I'm not anti-Block either. Its far better than that DinoCat they pushed on us.

If Pitt wears the current uniform for 5 more seasons, no one will care to see script again. This will be especially true if Chryst gets Pitt to play at a high to very high level and he becomes the long term coach at Pitt.

Edit to add: I used to be a big time script supporter. However, I like the uniforms they have now including the color scheme. It's grown on me. And no one will confuse Pitt with Navy or ND unlike what the script guys will say. Pitt clearly looks like Pitt again since they went to the block PITT uniform as done by Nike. I'd be afraid to see anymore uni changes right now because I don't want to see something worse come out - like those Nike pro combat unis for example. I don't expect to see the Pitt unis change in the near future. Get used to them.

So are the helmets good or bad??

Personally I think they should add a face guard and chin strap. I don't have to wear one though.
