RE: NIU fans not alone vs. Herbie...
"And NIU and the MAC should be celebrating their accomplishment today. #MACtion in the BCS is a great story. Instead, we all have to deal with this drummed up, sensationalized debate of the scoundrels at Northern Illinois taking a BCS spot away from those poor disadvantaged people at Oklahoma and Georgia."

"Northern Illinois EARNED their BCS slot. There is no "deserving" or "undeserving" here. They won their conference, finished in the Top 16 of the BCS Standings, and finished with a higher ranking than an AQ conference champion. Northern Illinois AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFIED FOR A BCS BOWL."

"Nevertheless, this is not a measured critique of what's wrong with the BCS. It's an attack against the Huskies. It's the dismissive attitude of what that team accomplished this year. It's the unadulterated elitism oozing from Kirk Herbstreit that bothers me more than anything. It's the way in which he berates NIU for earning something of value."

"Are you kidding me? Herbie loves MAC football??? What a ridiculous thing to say after completely burying the MAC's champion for five minutes. His whole argument against NIU is their week in and week out schedule!"

"Herbstreit, Palmer, and Pollack took what should have been a feel-good moment for NIU, the MAC, and college football and desecrated it with power conference propaganda and grandstanding."

Hey Herbie...how about getting those schools to schedule us so that we can prove ourselves...how about those schools scheduling more out of conference games out of town....how about them playing 7 homes every year when MAC schools have to go on the road....One year Ohio State played their first 5 games at home to start the season

How about those so called "big" schools coming to our stadiums more ofter

.
How about Illinois being ranked early last year when they played a cream puff schedule....if they had won the BIG title would they have played enough meaningful games?

The MAC says bring it on Herbie....use your influence to create a more equal playing field instead of your hate speech...

Good luck NIU, do everyone proud and kick Florida States ass and prove to the world that the MAC should be respected as a real conferences.

This could be the most important game in the history of the MAC future going forward.

The other six games are extremely important as well for the overall reputation and TV exposure with The Foxes Network and ESPN TV network.
