Didn't you turn them down? Why would they go back for seconds if you said no the first time?

Depends on whose story you believe. According to our AD we never said no to an official invite, we asked for more time to consider our options.

IBowl asked 3 times which should be enough. If they had waited as long as Tech requested, they could have been stuck with a 6-6 C. Michigan team or worse another SBC team. Nobody talks about that aspect of it. If IBowl waits, and Tech gets the invite it waits for, the IBowl is stuck with a possible disaster match up.
