Just quoting for emphasis^
Quote:, but clearly Schafer has been the better hitter
He's been the luckiest one, too.
BABIP:
BJUpton - .230
JUpton - .289
Heyward - .241
Schafer - .418
I'd love for him to be great all year long, but he's not. Hopefully he's come to grips with his new role and made the mental changes needed to keep out of trouble.
I think he has.
no need to emphasize, i realize that anyone would pick the 3 musketeers over Schafer every single time. Just pointing out who's been better so far

RE: Hot Stove Signings/Trades Thoughts on 2013 Season here
Schaffer's on the DL for 15 days.
Also, Ramirio Pena, who was quite a pickup and formerly a Yankee, out for season. Evan Gattis still on DL. The Braves' bit players are more important to this team than they might appear on their own. Our outfield is sucking big-time, as swoosh indicated they would previously.
Reed Johnson is kind of extraneous at this point.
But I like Chris Johnson and am glad we have him. Not the long-term solution at 3rd, but we really don't have an adequate replacement right now, and I'm glad they traded Francisco.

chris johnson continues to amaze me. I don't know how he's putting up these numbers, but he has saved their asses. With Heyward and BJ underperforming and very much underperforming respectively and Justin's OPS under .800, Johnson and Schafer have been so huge
