I think we should put on an unsanctioned scrimmage and call it the Realignment Bowl, considering that's why we got hosed anyway.

Good lord, I'm mad. Talk about a bullcrap bowl season. A 9-3 team and an 8-4 team get knocked out - one by choice and one because the conference didn't want to give us a game. That's a freaking shame.

Both of you should have a bowl invitation. That GT waiver is crap. Remember that the NCAA did a waiver to make some transitioning schools eligible also because they were worried that they wouldn't have enough teams to qualify.

Just think, it could be worse. Remember, Penn State, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Miami are all bowl eligible but have bowl bans.

That's not worse, that's their own damn fault. They got caught breaking the rules and are now paying for it.

Why couldn't C-USA give one of our bowls to MTSU since we aren't filling them all. It's beyond stupid that an 8-4 team will be sitting at home while so many craptastic teams are bowling.

I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. Tech and MTSU were the only two to get snubbed in favor of the bigger schools. If the four schools mentioned above were not banned from playing in bowl games, it would be 6 small conference schools that got snubbed. So as i said, it could be worse.

Someone explain to me how Western Kentucky gets a bid over MTSU when they had a worse overall record, a worse conference record and MTSU won the head-to-head match-up?

All this is beyond reasonable explanation. The Big 5 Conferences are going to separate themselves from us by controlling the bowl process more and more. We will be a de facto new football playing division. ESPN's melt down over NIU was blatant. I their minds all Gof5 should do is provide scheduling help, after that we are to accept a minor bowl or go home.

C-USA did fill all bowl slots. We only had back up deals with DC and the heart of Texas Bowl this year. 5 bowls and five bowl teams. ECU UCF Tulsa Rice SMU

It's simple. Our commissioner, Karl Benson. There's no reason in hell that WKU should have been chosen above MT to go where they did - we ALWAYS bring large numbers to bowl games, and we went to Detroit a few years ago and brought a good number - at that was when football still stunk at MT. SBC is getting payback, no doubt, and our athletic department and fans are furious.

Central Michigan at 6-6 is garbage

1 win against and FCS team
5 wins against FBS teams...combined record of those teams 12-48

Haw tried this a couple yrs ago & NCAA said no

Put some ******* asses in the seats and you won't have this problem. Bowls exist to make money, plain and simple. It's not a not for profit venture despite the BS they might try to tell you. IMO bowls are grossly over-rated to begin with as they're nothing more than exhibition games.

Why can't people wrap their minds around that?
