The champion was secured a the Go Daddy Bowl before the Cajuns received the official invitation. That is why the Go Daddy Bowl refused to release ASU to the Liberty. Now if the Liberty Bowl wanted ASU so bad, they should have made it work.

Don't worry Zee, the position of local scout leader has been filled.

I got no beef with WKU, or the Pizza bowl, or their logic. I don't really have a beef with the SBC.

We know how these games are played. We've benefited before when others stayed home.

But I do have a beef with the folks who try to rationalize this as anything other than we were screwed. This is a team that beat WKU, finished 2nd in the conference, with a better record than all but 1 of the teams bowling.

Just say "tough luck" and enjoy your bowl trips.

Don't say crap like "you got beat 45-0" when we beat your miserable, .500 in conference team at home and finished way ahead of you in the standings.

Yes, I don't think anyone is trying to take away your accomplishments this year. You beat WKU fair and square this year. As to how you finished in the conference....yes, you finished tied for 2nd with two other teams, thus WKU finished with the 3rd best conference record whereas you finished with the 2nd best. Also, since you didn't play one of the other 2nd place finishers (UL) but played the bottom team (USA), and since WKU played all four of the top teams and didn't play the bottom team, we'll never know if you would have finished 5-3 and WKU would have finished 5-3 if our schedules had been reversed.

I could have but then I wouldn't have been able to counter your point that you finished "way ahead" of us in the standings.

I haven't seen any WKU fans declaring they deserved it more; both teams deserved bowls games but one of them got left out this year.

I will say it, WKU deserved it more. They have worked hard for 2 years and it has finally paid off. The MUTS have CUSA now they don't need our shatty bowl games anyways, they are too good for that now. Just ask the ECU guy that came in earlier commenting on our "NO Crap Bowl".
