Toungue Irony of 2012 for UCF
Heard all season by silly fans (admittingly exclusive to ECU, Marshall and some UTEP) that we CHEATED and didn't deserve to win the EAST this year, despite:

- Appealing in itself isn't cheating

- The recruiting violations didn't help us at all this year - that QB kid never wore a UCF jersey

And this punt return - which was a travesty of refereeing on many levels - is what cost us the game.

Not complaining - over the loss and happy to be able to attend our bowl game in St Pete - just pointing out the irony

UCF fans can whine all you like but the punt return was legitimate. The play wasn't even reviewed. Print up an ironic t-shirt of Tulsa hoisting the C-USA trophy.

Trey Watts proved that Tulsa players, just like Tulsa students, are much smarter than the commuter school hipsters from UCF.

Yeah, not really sure what you're talking about with that punt either. I didn't see it live but just looked up the video and that falls on your punt team for not knowing the rules of the game.

^ Would a "smart" Tulsa fan go about generalizing UCF fans and students when generalizing any group is an ignorant and stupid thing to do? Don't base your opinion on everyone at a school because of a post you happen to disagree with on a message board. It just makes you look bad.

Whistle aside, I'll give you that, been though UCF players may have taken a cue from ref waving play dead...

- Tulsa players making blocks from sideline

- initial batting down by UCF is an illegal play

Or better still, credit Tulsa's Trey Watts for making a smart nothing-to-lose play that tied the game.

It has been pointed out by several different sources including media. That once the ball was touched by the UCF players it was still live. The whistle was never blown. Watts was just smart enough to pickup the ball and take it in for a TD. If the UCF had simply jumped on the ball after it was touched then it would have been downed.

I myself have been supportive of UCF football as I felt that the football team didn't really do anything that warranted a bowl ban etc. Your cheating midget underachieving basketball coach is a whole different story but your whine isn't about hoops.

There are 60 minutes of game time in a football game and plent more time added insuring stoppage. To say UCF lost due to a single call is ridiculous. The fact that your players have to look to a referee to understand the game of football says enough. The Tulsa players obviously were more football smart to know the play couldn't be over. So try into place blame on that is lame.

Lastly, UCF had a great season. Better than I gave them credit for and I'm a f-ing genius.

Good luck in the Big East. In fact I bet if you post this on the Big East board they will hold you as you cry yourself to sleep. At least you're going to a bowl game.

UCF lost because of poor coaching. Blankenship called a timeout when there was a questionable call (like he should). UCF called a timeout before a half to try something fancy (wtf!) and didn't call a timeout during a questionable call. Both times led to two scores, this is why we all dislike O'Leary.

Congrats Tulsa on the C-USA Championship, and also to the player smart enough to pick up the ball and run with it....

If UCF had the better team, they should have won at least 1 out of 2. You can blame O'Leary or O'Leary, or you could blame O'Leary for loss, but blaming CUSA officials for screwing up yet again is lame. We've played in this league for what 7 years? You're still shocked that they blow 4+ calls a game?
