We came in at 28th. Kind of a joke that 5 loss Wisconsin is 23 and Nebraska is still at 21 after their humiliation last night. We're the second highest ranked Big East team as Rutgers dropped down to #31.

Interesting to note that Butch voted us at #24 and Brian Kelly voted us #21. Thanks BK.

Well at least Wisconsin's coach voted UC at 21. Also, with a bowl win UC moves into the final 25. What would that be? 5 of the last 6 years ending ranked?

The FSU coach ranked us- that's a good sign right?

Not a joke, they did what they had to by the BCS rules. I am very happy for them. Great year for the MAC.

FSU won a weak ACC, barely beat a bad GT for the conference title.
Wisconsin went 4-4 in their division and made a BCS bowl.
Louisville lost to a bad UConn team and Pitt...they are going.

Should anyone really be mad about NIU?

Hope they beat FSU (unless UC goes to the ACC between now and New Year's!)

Not just NIU, most of the BCS Bowls suck this year. Good thing I don't care to watch bowl games.

Look for the big 4 comnferences to get together and make it even more difficult for those teams to make it.

Yeah the BCS bowls are pretty bad this year. I can't believe Nebraska or Wisconsin are ranked. What a joke that is. Both of those teams have way too many losses in a mediocre conference to deserve being ranked.

NIU is now official in the BCS. It is complete joke that no more than 2 teams cannot get into the BCS. So LSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia and even Oklahoma and Clemson are passed over for Northern Illinois?

Right now they're whining about NIU on ESPN's BCS show. Cry me a river. Having a turd like Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl is just as big a travesty.

On the one hand I agree. But on the other hand, if you let in too many teams from the SEC, you'll just end up with a bunch of rematches.

Louisville just might get smoked in the Sugar Bowl, especially if Bridgewater is not 100%. Bet they would have rather played Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

True, but I think after taking the conference champions, they should just choose the highest ranking team in the BCS to fill the remaining spots. There would only be 1 left over spot, so I think UGA would take it.

I preferred the Kansas State - Texas game myself. Looking forward to the Fiesta Bowl with Kansas State vs Oregon.
