Kudos to Benson for tricking C-USA into taking the 'belt's dead weight. The man is a genius, I don't understand why he was booed for making the 'belt stronger.

The fact that he added Ga State tosses out the genius idea. They will replace F_U in the attendance figures.

We had 3 games over 20k and 3 games under

The Thursday night game with WKU sucked for attendance average. otherwise we would have averaged around 22k

Looks like some schools could get some of their local small businesses to help with attendance. Those that float some of their "merchandise" ashore from small boats off shore to throw some money from the sky like GaSt did. Except millions of dollars. Of course, dropping the "merchandise" above the stadium would probably be better for attendance than money. Certainly would make for a raucous crowd.

Nope, all they get is a fatter bank account.

Small thing, but they should at least give a plaque or trophy for conference attendance. They deserve it.

Could call it the Benson award for best conference attendance in football and something else, maybe the Carl (Karl) award for basketball.
Arkansas State deserves it.

Cost $30 to $100 bucks, heck go for a great looking one -$500.
Results, Priceless. Plus would make your name even more memorable (immortal? nah).

I'll take our 2012 avg, even if TTU inflated the numbers some. We increased our avg by 23% over 2011

Hopefully we make another increase next season with a better product on the field and, with some luck, actual marketing of the program.

Televised games, CAA fans that attended their team's game at the ga dome and commented on how incredibly empty it was, photos of the cash drop online, etc.
Attendance has to be taken only so seriously when the NCAA allows schools to invent ways to call attendance anything but physical attendance. You're literally allowed to guess your attendance under the bylaws.

Even Panama and Pantherville have complained about their football attendance at Georgia State and I believe claimed it was less than what was showing. It has to increase, couldn't go down like it has the past two years since starting football.

I am always amazed at the great attendance debate based on numbers pulled out of someone's hat, but yet they become the basis of analysis like this when everyone should know that the variance in the fudge factor between programs is so great that the reported numbers are meaningless.
