RE: McMurphy - UC to Belk vs Duke
It's not so much a slam at UC, but the fact that the bowls are going begging for matchups. Even Ga Tech got in a bowl game after being defeated by FSU, who will be facing the Huskies of Northern Illinois. The GT record is a miserable 6-7 and they needed a waiver to go bowling against USC.

'Prominent' 6-6 teams facing off: Rice vs Air Force and Pitt vs Ole Miss.
Incredibly, La Tech wasn' even invited even after 9 wins and almost beating A&M. They are the highest scoring team in the country this year, but didn't even get a sniff. Instead Ohio U will be facing the Georgia Bulldogs.

IMHO this is a time for UC fans to show up, and for the Bearcats to give the Dukies a beat down to prove us in the BE>Duke in the ACC.

La Tech was invited to a bowl game, their AD just didn't want to play another UL school that they consider beneath them.

Yeah, LA Tech gambled on a better bowl and lost when Northern Illinois got the BCS bid. The trickle down effect of needing to fit and unexpected Big 12 team into the bowl squeezed out LA Tech's hoped for bowl spot.
