Jaun Castillo to UTEP?
He would be a very good hire for UTEP. He would energize the community and I think he has enough ties to the NFL and Texas to be a good recruiter. Check out the video of him from NFL on living the American Dream.

Hope not. I would prefer Fritz.

I am not interested.

He might be a great guy and all but why settle when Fritz is available? I trust Stull will make the right move and hire Fritz once Sam exits the playoffs.

RE: Jaun Castillo to UTEP?
Great story, and he seems to know the NFL O and D lines.

I think Fritz would be a solid hire.

But something tells me we need Mangino. Here's my rationale:
- UTEP teams have lacked discipline at times
- We have also lacked toughness (mental)
- Proven coach at the highest stages
- Able can win at Kansas..... Kansas! (I've lived near KC, and its tough to win there)
- His accomplishments came against the likes of OK, OKSt, TX, K ST, etc.
- I think he would stick around for a while
- Hates the national media..... El Paso is out of the spotlight
- He wants to come here
- He will keep El Paso's restaurant industry running hot....

Lol on your last point.

Agree with all points

I'd be good with Mangino as well but I don't see that happening.

I still can't believe Andy Reid turned his o-line coach into the DC

That was silly, but I believe Castillo wanted a fast track to being a head coach. Reid was glad to accommodate his boy.

I'm not sure how being an O-line coach stopped Mike Munchak from being Titans head guy. It does make Castillo look like a joke, though.

Mangino would be a nice hire, too. He was wiping down office walls at Kansas. I know UTEP isn't in that bad of shape.

No hate, but if those are two of UTEP's choices (Fritz and The Mangino)...well done to this point!
