Reporter in Atlanta last night:
Barrett Jones was on crutches after the game. He injured his foot in the 1st quarter, got it re-wrapped, and gutted it out the rest of the game. He was in serious pain in the locker room. This wasn't soreness, it was pretty clearly an injury, and he ignored it to keep playing. The guy's toughness is unquestioned. Jones told me he's confident he'll be ready to go for ND.

We have players who displayed that type of "toughness" this year.

Unbelievable, my comment was in no way meant to be negative against anyone. It just  reflected what I like to see in a football player
I am very well aware that we had many players who displayed this type of toughness this year. All I was saying is that toughness like what B. Jones showed last night is something I admire and players like him ,Austin, Pat,Marvin play the game the right way and I look forward to seeing even more of this next year.

I'm not praising or worshipping him. just defending him from baseless accusations. You are just as bad as any Bama fan. Letting football dictate your opinion of a person. If he played for UAB, we would want to build statues of him.

I'll just interject here in response to another post, you know, just to add to the fun.

I gladly dressed my kids up in UAB gear from the time I was able to find something to fix them.

I taught them that the proper response to anyone saying that evil phrase R*** T*** is to give a hearty Go Blazers!

I've brought them to many game and taken pictures with Blaze every chance I get.

Call it brainwashing if you want, but it's building a fan base. And as bad as it irritates me that we are saturated with Crimson and rtr around these parts, I say nothing because I'm doing the same thing to my kids...and I'm not sorry.

I have no opinion of him, I don't know the guy, don't care to know him. You have stated that he didn't receive any money, so I can't do anything but believe you.

I happen to work with a person who played at Alabama & won a national championship at Alabama. It doesn't mean I want to sit around with him & discuss gump stories though.

I didn't know you worked at McDonald's.

I dont think anyone said anything bad about Barrett Jones. It easy to read what you want into people's posts I guess.

Ok, ok...blazerman did mention him getting a pay raise. In fairness, that was before MB said he wouldnt take money.

I still think we should celebrate our own players. The original post didn't.

I'm a falcons fan so I'm not finna go on a saints board posting about Roddy White or how the saints could learn somethings from the Falcons.
