How many different uniform combinations do you guys have? (Serious question)
@TommyRapier: Total available uniform combinations for this season now at 240.

I just can't wait for the game so we can be done with these GSU folks flooding our boards with no game talk.

Ok here is the game talk.
ODU is going to throw the fooball almost every play. Georgia Southern is going to run the football almost every play. Which ever teams defense can stop the other team from scoring the most points will win the game.

Here is a relevant question: how close to full strength is GSU? Any key injuries? Key players playing that are banged up?

Here another question. How good of a passer is your QB? As good as your running game was, it was the 3 or 4 3rd and long conversions that Shaw converted that killed us. Is your current guy as dangerous on 3rd and long?

He is possibly more dangerous. He can throw but he is a much bigger running threat that the QB last year. So, if you drop back to cover a possible pass, he will beat you with his legs.

In other words, he's not going to be throwing so we can pretty much gear up for the run all day long and dare you to beat us deep since he's not as good as the guy last year.
Sounds good to me.

You sir or the John Madden of FCS football! Does Frank Caliendo do you in his routine?

We're in "decent" shape. Like everyone, we have several banged up including Brent Russell and Dion Dubose on the defensive line. Valdon Cooper will be back in the seconday, so we should be about as good as we can be on defense. On offense, the O-line has been a patchwork all season, but they have overcome. All of our backs are healthy except Robert Brown who is out for the season. He did a lot of damage last year to you guys. However, B-Back Dominique Swope appears healthy and ready to go. Jerrick McKinnon is the starter at QB but Izzy Youyoute is stride for stride with him and a better thrower. Only problem we had with Izzy was that he made a lot of mental mistakes and had a few careless fumbles at the beginning of the season. That seems to be better and he very well may be the better of the two. McKinnon has shown good leadership down the stretch and last week he took the offense on his shoulders to get the win. McKinnon CAN pass, but hasn't needed to. I firmly believe we'll put up some put up some points but I am concerned if it will be enough. I think our defense is better than last year, but we still have problems with teams slinging it all over the place.

As far as our defense is concerned:
Arm tackling by our undersized corners has been a problem this year against passing teams.
The isolation of linebackers in coverage has been a problem this year; including over-commitment that allows RBs to get out completely uncovered.
These issues may be secondary however vs a GaSo type scheme.
I am concerned about Swope and McKinnon of course; but as someone pointed out on MN, the key to how we handle this team is how we react to cut blocks from the GSU offensive line.
I am not sure we have faced a cut blocking team all season.

We are wrapping up better at LB and in the secondary but we had waaay too many receivers get behind us last Saturday. Fortunately their QB was a little long on his throws and they had a couple of drops. Definitely cant count on that this Saturday or it will be a long day.

For shame! You were probably here When you needed to be closer to here ha Not all the way there, but close!
I certainly got close AFTER the loss. Thank freaking god the Giants beat the Saints or I would have called this one of the worst sporting weekends of my life for sure.

Southern Miss just hired the cousin of Georgia Southern's head coach as their new head coach. Was previously the OC at Oklahoma State.
