I missed it. I have no desire to listen to the Crimson Turd sports network. Hope he enjoyed himself afte the buyout. Maybe he will go get a job now. JSU needs a coach.

Oh I dunno, he did more to set back UAB Football than Bear Bryant and his spawn... (or was it the idiots that kept him on for that last, soul-crushing year? I dunno, you tell me)

The dude was a failure as a head coach. I had a whole discussion piece I was gonna post, but decided against it. It's just so much noise really. Any GD idiot can see it objectively without the chatter. But, by all means, continue to support mythology, stupidity and failure. Watson Brown knows more about being a head football coach than NC will ever hope to know. And that is something that is shocking to say and shocking to hear.

Position coach is a Position coach. Period. END of story.

Which is why the E12Loss experiment was laughed at by knowledgeable UAB fans when he was chosen 12 months ago.

Callaway wasn't purposely trying to lose at UAB. He was offered a job and took it. He actually did good things here.

People that want to say Callaway is what put UAB Football in the dump...you need to educate yourself on the state of the program in 2006.

Neil Callaway was simply incompetent. Watson Brown was incompetent AND a loathsome human being.

Got to agree. I wanted him fired but agree with what deev said. Watson left the program in shambles. The APR restrictions hurt this program worse than Bama was hurt by the Albert Means case. FSU admitted to academic fraud and was not hurt as bad as UAB.

We have a new coach lets move on.

+1 to 58-56

Take it out on the BOT or spend your time concerned with McGee.

Callaway didn't force himself on UAB, he was offered a job and took it. Hell, it wasn't even just the BOT. Pat Dye was trying to convince us to hire him too.

Point is, the guy loved his players and tried his best. His best wasn't good enough. End of story.

I do spend my time concerned with Mcgee, this thread was about Callaway. So guess what, he still sucks.

1) no HE did not force himself on us, but he sure didn't make it easy for us to like him either

2) Offered/Given he chose to come here so he chose to be criticised by us...and he sucked

3)I will give him credit for beating USM

4) He loved his players so much he costed us the Tennessee game. 5 F'N FIELD GOALS of love

5) He's gone McGee is here and I'm happy

GO BLAZERS

GO IRISH
