of baseball, football or hoops who were you?

I was Johnny Bench in baseball, Joe Namath in football, and Pistol Pete in basketball. Pistol caused me a lot of line drills in basektball practice.

Yeah, I'm old.

I was Allen Iverson in basketball, Steve Young in football and I hated baseball because it's boring.

Swimmer here...although he was like 50 years older than me the only famous swimmer back then was Johnny Weissmuller. I remember watching him as a little girl play Tarzan and always thought they did a fast forward when they showed him swimming but evidently they didn't because he was really really fast. Wish I had someone to idolize back then (female ) but didn't.

Dexter Reed.
Loved that spinning, leaning double-pump from the elbow.
A little James Bradley, too.

Penny, Jeff Bagwell, Howie Long

I remember shooting basketball in the driveway and pretending to come out to the Memphis Tiger fight song. Also imagined Larry Finch pulling up in a car and watching me shoot and telling me that he would be interested in me being on the team one day lol.

I do remember (as a child) actually having to get up and trun the knob to change channels...the days before remote controls!

Randy White (always loved defense) or Ed "Too Tall" Jones...QB, I was probably Roger Staubach or Danny White. Although my first idol was a RB at my hs...

Basketball, Bedford was a favorite since my school played them in the state championship. Before that it was Majic or Bird... even though I HATED Boston!!!!

Baseball, Reggie Jackson!!!
