I'm inclined to agree with this, however I feel the problem lies in how some choose to present their frustration and opinions. My guess is that most fall into one or more of the following categories:

-very young and inexperienced
-feel that pointing out and continually harping on what they feel is wrong with a player, coach, program, etc. somehow makes them smarter than the rest of us
-derive some type of thrill from getting under other people's skin
-watch too much 'reality' TV and think it showcases normal codes of behavior
-obtain some of their feelings of self-worth and superiority from how well their chosen team does, therefore underperformance effects them in a way that is more personal and disproportionately negative
-feel they need to convince and educate the sunshine pumpers on all that is wrong. What they fail to understand is that we are usually just as aware and oftentimes just as frustrated, however life is short and some choose not to obsess and wallow in the negative.

This is a message board and should be a place for people to express their feelings and opinions. It can be both fun and enlightening to have a conversation with someone whose opinion differs from your own. What some people fail to understand is that how you choose to communicate effects the receipt of your message.

After re-reading this, I realize that some of it may seem a bit condescending. So the way I chose to communicate may effect how well it is received with some. If that is the case, I apologize, afterall, we are all only human. Go Tigers.

My favorite Tottenham board has people that legitimately threaten each others lives and families with almost no consequence. Even scarier since most of those posters live somewhat in the same neighborhood of London Yup. This board is fairly tame.

I've seen flame wars over two people with different interpretations of the same concert.
