Quote:FYI...if you live in KY...its much MORE then just "one game".

UK/UL hoops reminds me of Auburn/Bama Football Game...State residents talk about the ONE GAME for 365 days a year...almost the same exact thing in KY.

FYI, I stated that I know it's a rivalry game. It's probably the most intense rivalry game in College Basketball. But it doesn't change the fact that it is still ONE GAME and ONE LOSS.

It doesn't mean anything in the overall big picture which is getting to the tournament. That is what I am talking about Knight. Now if you like to finish this conversation on the CUSA board then lets do that!

It does means for another year that UL fans will have to hear it from UK fans. They will be OK!

The thread was "Is UL Wimpy Schedule Catching up with Them" and not the Rivalry between UL/UK. I always try to stay on topic and not stray away from what is being discuss Knight.

They got some work to do but Pitino has lived to play a Big East schedule. He will not allow UL to get thumped in the BE.

Right. lmfao

Right. lmfao

We will be very competitive in the Big East.

Discount Pitino if you want. My money is on the coach with a NCAA Title ring and the only coach to take 3 different schools to a Final Four.

Now I am about to say something that will shock Maize, I think people are overreacting to UL loss to UK yesterday. It's a rival game. We all knew UL OOC schedule was weak and even UL fans admitted that. But its ONE GAME.

They will basically go into the conference with either one or maybe 2 losses and by that time they would have probably gel together as a team rather nicely. I will admit that if they had a played a couple of toughies that they might had been better prepared for UK but it is still just ONE LOSS!

UL Basketball speaks for itself and they will be fine. They got some work to do but Pitino has lived to play a Big East schedule. He will not allow UL to get thumped in the BE.

I am just glad I am not a Texas Basketball fan this morning.

what texas basketball fans? i live in austin and i cant find one.

And dont mention the Orange. 03-hissyfit

A few thoughts:

UofL got the beatdown yesterday. I do find a few comments in the thread funny though because they act as if UofL fans were acting like we thought we had a current Top 5 team before yesterday. Not quite the case and the board will back me up if anyone wants to check out the old posts.

If anyone thinks 1 game makes or breaks a season, much less in December, well than all I can say is time to learn a little something about basketball!

As for the Memphis fans, I'll gladly take the smack from all but one of you following a loss for the Cards. As for tigerderek, you've proven many times prior to this thread that you are clueless about sports, and this thread confirms it! You act as if UofL's season is done, buy a clue buddy, I think my dog knows more about basketball than you do. :withstupid:

Oh and JMSTiger, do you REALLY want to bring up football? The last 16 times you played the Cardinals you went 3-13. You're also 1-5 the last 6 times you played us at home in the Liberty Bowl. We are plenty at home in the Liberty, but then you knew that didn't you! After all Memphis doesn't play in the Liberty Bowl in December, but the Cardinals sure did when that was their conference! lmfao

I have no such thing. You guys are usually awesome but you currently suck. We will see what happens later in the season. Hopefully we meet in the NCAA tournament - we will be there this year - it would be a war.

That one was mostly for derek.

You guys are good this year -- the best Memphis team in recent memory. I hope we do play in the tourney, it would be intense.
