What is a realistic TV number now?
Can we get $4-$6 million? Getting lower expectations.

8-10 million all sports may still be reasonable.

That would make me very happy at this point.
I was thinking a little lower:
$5 million all-sports
$3 million football only

In Aresco we trust.

I believe we did will with keeping Uconn versus UL, at least according to that article which listed our most valuable programs.

Rutgers doesn't help basketball very much.

It was said that we were at a point that no one was irreplaceable.

We'll get to test that assumption. All of the points Aresco's been hammering at in interviews are still true about the nBe.

I say we still get a contract that exceeds the old ESPN offer.

I wish I could be really optimistic. I'm thinking anything over $4 is good. We essentially have a c-USA/MWC lineup.

I guess it depends on who is still listed as a member and who else we add. I'm thinking if we go the 14-16 all sports route along with the 7 non football members, we can maybe still get $10 million for all sports members and $4 million for basketball schools. But I think our best realistic number is gonna be $6 to $8 million. That's still way more than MWC, Conference USA and MAC will have a shot at.

This......I was thinking 6-8 before now it's in the 3-4 range if we are lucky.

Not true. The traditional BE Catholic Basketball powers are still here. So are UCONN, Temple, NAVY, etc..

That's HUGE.

Boise transcends conference affiliation. Their signature seasons were in the WAC. Collectively, we're blazing new ground here, that have nothing to do with those former conference models.

It's a different ballgame.

Should still fall in around $12M for all sports, $8-9M for football and $3-4M for Olympics. We haven't lost NYC and we replaced Louisville with Greenville & New Orleans, public perception is hurting us the most right now, but as long as NBC and Fox are still interested (and they are), the bottom isn't going to fall out unless there's an all out expansion armageddon.

Everyone should be very interested in this "other outlet" that Aresco has been touting. Make no mistake, they are slicing and dicing this deal and making every overture to get the most money out of it. We may not have the best pure coverage when all is said and done, but he is a TV man. He will get the most money that can be made.

I've seen several places that one of the "other outlets" is YouTube/Google. Laugh if you want but I think that would be awesome.

YouTube is really getting into the streaming live events spectrum (see the Red Bull jump from space)........ If their quality can be as good or better than ESPN3 I think its great.

Would that be a addition to the game being on TV as well?

RE: What is a realistic TV number now?
ESPiN's anger tells me that it will be somewhere around $10-13 million all sports ($6-8 million football only). If the market really had fallen out of the TV deal, they wouldn't be working so hard to trash the Big East . . .
