Right now we play each other too late in the season when it is colder. This game would be better early in the season when it is warmer and both fan bases are fired up about the new season.

In basketball we would likely alternate years home and home. Wouldn't be the same I don't think but still a good non conference game.

Doubt we play each other very often. To much risk of a loss for either program.

That's chicken **** talk. We need to play each other, every year, in every sport. I hope I never live a day that there isn't a WKU game to reflect positively on, and/or a WKU game to fervently look forward to. I'll be extremely pissed if this rivalry doesn't continue.

No we don't. WKU left in the 80s to the Belt when we were in the OVC. They went to the belt but we went to the NCAAs that year.

We didn't play each other until years later. We really don't NEED to play each other.

Your right you dont NEED to do it, but both programs and fan bases would be MUCH better off having it then without.

MTSU and WKU would survive not having each other play just as FAU and FIU would of. However the growth of both programs would not be as significant without having each other.

Rivals are good for programs.
