Well lets be honest they aren't really wrong about what the Big East is, however what they aren't mentioning is that the ACC is just about a glorified Big East at this point, and I don't even know what you want to call C-USA. ECU and Tulane did basically rejoin C-USA, but more the 2002 version instead of the 2012 version.

Bottom line is they've got a hand that set the wheels into motion. flows down hill. I'm not as happy as I thought I'd be but I'm also glad we're not in a conference with a bunch of upstarts & ex-Sunbelt schools.

Say what you want about the Big East (and I probably won't totally disagree) but they've clearly decided they want to survive. Tulane was added for 2 reasons: their academic profile matches that of SMU & several non-FB schools & New Orleans (plus the Bowl that probably comes with it).

No point in arguing. There will be more conference shuffling going on for a while.

Totally disagree. Hamrick would have never accepted a "football only" invite while Tulane got the full invite. Just plain stupid IMO for ECU to accept that.

nCUSA is 1000 times better than CUSA 3.0

Who cares if its all CUSA teams.

Were mostly start ups and sun belt spares now.

And that would make Hamrick a stupid idiot who doesn't understand money. Nothing is set in stone (regarding TV contract), but I'd be willing to be it's a better deal than what CUSA currently has.

I know Mike Hamrick well, I worked for him as a student. He would take that in a heartbeat..just like he did at ECU with a football only Conference USA invite. Marshall needs a boost in football to help get your fanbase back..He wouldnt hesitate at all

Who knows what's going to happen. For all we know the Big East, MWC, and CUSA will all dissolve. Would be nice for the best of the rest to form their own conference.

Mike Hamrick is a total ******* moron but he's not dumb enough to pass up on a conference that includes UCF, USF, Cincinatti, Temple and UConn for a conference that's spread as far west as El Paso, Tx.
