I think that applies to all schools not in a "Big-4" conference.

RE: Statement from C-USA
We're fast approaching a "Zero Sum Game" with conference re-alignment. Movement between the Sun Belt and C*USA (and hopefully MWC) will have a net gain for nobody, thus nobody moves. The conference commissioner can't sell anything, it all has to do with what the financial package is. If the MWC or Sun Belt gets a slight advantage in contract negotiations, we're in serious trouble.

University of Phoenix (all campuses, including online).

In fact, we should just invite the online campus ... we can just play Madden 13.

I say we add Louisville, Cincinnati, ECU, UCF, and Memphis. That gives us good markets and good Fball and Bball.

Hell if its just about markets and academic reputation and endowments, lets go after Harvard!!

IMO, once the Big10 went after an ACC team... we "officially" hit that point.
The BigXII/SEC move was the start of the ball, but I think the Maryland move said .. "we're at the saturation point until a multi-conference playoff becomes official".

Indeed.

In the middle of all of this, I feel like college sports is slowly losing its identity and legitimacy.

And when it's all said and done, things will likely just go back to the old way there were before. It's at the point where only very, very few will see any kind of net gain.

There it is. I couldn't remember that phrase. If everyone takes a step forward, then no one progressed. There are a FEW winners, but most schools will end up in the same situation.
