The Doeren rumors provided an easy excuse for Fuessel to renege on his commit to us. Prediction: Within two weeks, Fuessel will announce his verbal commit to NU.

I think it's safe to say that there is a 0% chance he goes to Arkansas... Didn't a couple months ago, Arkansas' AD say he would pay $4-$5mil for a coach? That's Jon Gruden money right there. lol

But I'd have to think they're reaching out to bigger names. Gary Patterson? Mike Gundy? Malzahn? Maybe even Tuberville and Charlie Strong? Maybe an assistant like Kirby Smart who has denied multiple HC positions finally decides that Ark is the job for him. Hell, I feel like all of those names could be candidates at Auburn and Tennessee too.

Arkansas Foundation has a 5:30 emergency meeting today. Don't know if it's related hiring a new coach, but we'll find out after that.

My theory is that they have their man. Doeren is not it, but contacted him today to make sure if something falls apart that he is waiting in the wings to step up.
